Phantasms Exhibition: Opening Reception + Autumn Reception

Phantasms presented a series of works that explored the fluid boundaries between perception, memory, and material presence. Through layered compositions and subtle visual shifts, Lucienne Mettam invited viewers to experience the tension between clarity and ambiguity, drawing attention to the unseen connections that shape how we perceive and remember.

 

Hosted at ArtHub609 — a project space created by Architects Teass \ Warren Architects and Moody Graham to highlight emerging voices in Washington, D.C.’s art community — the opening reception welcomed over 200 guests. The evening featured original works, limited edition giclée prints, and initiated several new commissions and collaborations.

 

A highlight of the opening night included an artist talk at 7:30 PM, where Lucienne shared insights into her process, materials, and the conceptual underpinnings of the exhibition.
