Apparitions
Apparitions is rooted in the contradiction of seeing through. Translucency carries an otherworldly pull, suggesting access beyond the surface, while its lack of opacity leaves the eye searching for a boundary it can hold. Across the collection, bodies take on charged, spectral qualities that exceed their physical outlines, as gray matter appears to spill from and gather around the figure. The interior is no longer contained by the body, taking form as something at once mental, material, and atmospheric.
